Amber is a self-taught traditional artist working primarily with gouache and acrylic ink. She commonly paints experimental portraits, landscapes, and houses, occupied and unoccupied.

 

She spent her adolescence photographing the abandoned of BC's lower mainland and upper Washington, providing permanence to these subjects. Paying further tribute, photography turned to painting. Her architectural portraiture blurs realism with a painterly touch, honouring the stoicism of all things left behind and documenting the tangible decay of life quietly withering, reclaimed by time and nature.
